This Cookies Policy explains how ComplyPlanet Private Limited ("ComplyPlanet", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on complyplanet.com, how these relate to your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 ("the Rules"), and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (login state, language, settings) and, in the case of analytics or advertising cookies, can be used to recognise your browser across visits.
Where a cookie or similar technology collects an identifier (such as a device ID, IP address, or advertising ID) that can identify you, directly or indirectly, that identifier is Personal Data under the DPDPA. Setting such a cookie is therefore an act of "processing" that requires either your consent or a specific, statutorily recognised "Certain Legitimate Use" under Section 7 of the Act — the same framework that governs any other collection of Personal Data on our site.

When you first visit complyplanet.com, a cookie banner appears before any non-essential cookie is set. In line with Rule 3(c) of the Rules, the banner and the preference centre behind it are built so that:
- Non-essential cookies are off by default and do not load until you actively consent to their category.
- "Reject non-essential" is presented with the same visual prominence as "Accept all" — declining is exactly as easy as accepting.
- Consent is granular by category (e.g., you may accept analytics cookies but decline marketing cookies).
- You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie preference centre (link in the website footer), with the same ease as giving it, and doing so takes effect on your next page load.
- Withdrawing consent does not delete cookies already placed on your device — you may also need to clear cookies through your browser settings to remove them immediately.

complyplanet.com does not currently set advertising or cross-site retargeting cookies. If this changes — for example, if a LinkedIn Insight Tag or similar is added for campaign measurement — this section and the consent banner will be updated before any such cookie is set, and this Policy will carry a revised effective date.
Where you consent to analytics cookies, usage data (such as pages visited, time on site, and approximate location derived from IP address) is shared with Google Analytics for processing. Google LLC processes this data on servers that may be located outside India, including in the United States.
We rely on Google's standard data processing terms for Google Analytics, and any such transfer is made subject to the requirements the Central Government specifies under Rule 15 of the Rules from time to time. We do not permit Google or any other analytics/functional-cookie provider to use data collected via our site for their own independent advertising purposes.
- On-site: use the "Cookie Preferences" link in the website footer at any time to review or change your category-level consent.
- Browser-level: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings menu; this will affect cookies from all websites, not just ours, and may affect site functionality if you block strictly necessary cookies.
- Google Analytics opt-out: to object to analytics tracking specifically, you may install Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on ↗.
- Questions or consent records: to ask a question about this Policy or request a copy of the cookie consent record we hold for you, contact our Data Protection Officer at the details in Section 8.
We may update this Cookies Policy as our cookie usage changes — for example, if we add a new analytics or marketing tool. Material changes (such as adding a new category of non-essential cookie) will trigger a fresh consent prompt on your next visit, and the updated Policy will carry a revised effective date.
